The combination of the SEARCHCAM Victim Location System and the SEARCHCAM Breaching System is the fastest method available to positively locate victims of structural collapse.

The Searchcam® Breaching System has been designed to give USAR teams the ability to rapidly breach void spaces to conduct victim searches using the SEARCHCAM Victim Location Systems. In the event that access to a void is not readily available through existing cracks or crevasses, a 2" diameter hole can be rapidly bored in a precise location using the 2.75 horsepower, 40 cc, 2 cycle gasoline engine and a diamond or carbide bit. The system operates at 950 rpm. Operation is facilitated by compact, comfortable support handles and a convenient throttle control and thumb operated safety switch. Four heavy duty bits are provided with each system. The high speed diamond bits are water cooled by attaching the pressurized water can to the provided water collar coupling. Test coring in standard construction grade concrete averages 3" per minute. The diamond bits also cut embedded steel reinforcement bar. The carbide bits will rapidly bore through most other construction materials such as wood and sheet metal. Optional spindle extensions are available to facilitate extended boring. This self contained breaching system eliminates the need for electrical generators or air compressors and their associated transmission lines to supply operational power. The system is light weight, highly mobile and truly portable.
