THE SEARCHCAM PATROL SYSTEM is designed to provide Law Enforcement Personnel with a tool to conduct effective visual searches wile at the same time protecting the operator from exposure to a potentially hostile environment. The Patrol System is based upon the more sophisticated SEARCHCAM 2000 IR Tactical Surveillance System, which is in use by hundreds of tactical teams around the world. The system is a continuation of the same high quality, functionality, durability and reliability found in previous SEARCHCAM models and proven in actual operation throughout the world for over ten years. The camera, illumination and video display are identical to those on the more expensive systems.

The highly mobile, single operator, PATROL SYSTEM has been designed to be especially compact and easy to handle. When stowed, it fits into the trunk of a patrol vehicle. When deployed, the probe of the lightweight (5 pounds) system collapses to 46” and can be extended to 11’. The extended probe length has been designed to easily accommodate attic space searches in structures with high ceilings while standing on the floor. The non-visible, infrared illumination in combination with the low light camera provides an excellent picture at over 30 feet in zero light. The manual camera head articulation allows the operator to position the camera to the desired viewing angle covering a 240º range and providing a field of view of over 300º.

The SEARCHCAM greatly enhances officer safety by allowing the officer to remain in a defensive position while conduction searches. The lightweight probe can be easily used with one hand, keeping the officer’s weapon hand free. The PATROL SYSTEM allows for rapid searches of attic spaces, crawl spaces, ventilation ducts, under beds and furniture, around corners, stairwells, basements, roofs and T-bar ceilings. The probe is machined from high quality aluminum and the hard, anodized finish protects against corrosion and abrasion. The sealed, lead-acid battery weighs three pounds and can provide three hours of continuous operation. The system is virtually maintenance free and it can be expected to function for years without problems.
